A Pagan & Witchy Space that welcomes you as you are
We are gearing up for our third annual Midsummer Pride gathering!! Join us as members and allies of the LGBT+ Community for a family-friendly Pagan celebration of the Summer Solstice!
The 2023 Pride of Midsummer Gathering is Saturday, June 13th, 3PM-7PM at Frances Slocum state Park. The address is: 567 Mt Olivet Road Wyoming, PA 18644 This gathering is entirely free and open to everyone! We will be at pavilions 001 and 002, closest to the playground near the pools overflow parking lot. (Follow the signs at the entrance and look for the pavilion with all the rainbow stuff!) We will be using two chants in our ritual: "Pagan Family Chant" by Unknown I am a strong Spirit I am a loving Spirit I am empowered and my soul will never die I am a strong Spirit I am a loving Spirit I am empowered and my soul will never die We are an old family We are a new family We are the same family stronger than before We honor you, we empower you to be who you are We honor you, we empower you to be who you are "Song of the Faery Seer - We are remembering" by Orion Foxwood We are a people of the Earth We are a people of the Sky We are a people of the Heart We are remembering... We are remembering... The Blot to Loki is lead by Raven Redfeather. This will be towards the end (around 6:00pm). A blot is a heathen ceremony honoring a Heathen God. We are holding a Blot to Loki in honor of Pride Month. Loki is sacred to many Pagan LGBT+ because of his genderfluid nature. This year the ritual will honor Loki as well as his wife Sigyn and their two sons Vali and Narfi. During the blot, participants will be able to give an offering (words of praise/thanks, flowers, candy, food, non-alcoholic beverages, etc.) that wish to. It is a well attended ritual and recently learned one of the largest Loki rituals in the country. For our Drum circle (around 4:00 pm) - Please bring drums/hand percussion if you play. Some drums will be available if you do not have your own. We will be grilling hamburgers and hotdogs. There will be vegetarian options available upon request. Those that wish may bring a covered dish to share at the community food table. If you do bring a dish, please label it with the ingredients so that people can make healthy to them choices. We gather in this way to empower and support the LGBTQ+ Community as well as raise money for Queer NEPA. Queer NEPA is an organization that does a lot of needed work supporting queer youth in Northeast PA.
