A Pagan & Witchy Space that welcomes you as you are
Enter 2023 from a centered place of peace. Release the energies and heaviness of the last year, and set a harmonious tone for the year to come. We have no less than 3 opportunities to release the weight of 2022 including our annual favorite, our New Years Purification Ritual & Full Moon Labyrinth Walk. Join us for our annual New Years Purification Ritual for this Full Moon. Enter 2023 from a centered place of peace. Release the energies of the last year, and set a harmonious tone for the year to come. Attendees are invited to move through the Elements, releasing the shadows and heaviness of 2022. Though we are far apart, we will be casting sacred space together. There are a few items you will need for this ritual: - A small stone - A sprig of evergreen or other plant - Incense of choice, singing bowl or a small bell - 1 candle - A small piece of paper and pen - A cauldron or other heatproof bowl - A bowl of warm water and a hand towel Optional Materials: - A feather - An anointing oil of choice Many of us started out as solitary practitioners on our Pagan and Witch paths. To those of us introverts, it can be quite a leap to seek out other like-minded groups. Online rituals can offer the best of both worlds to those who are more comfortable casting alone. You can turn off a video feed if you are more comfortable, set up your space and connect while being led in ritual simultaneously. --- Zoom Link: https://zoom.us/j/96651274855 4th Annual New Year's Purification Ritual & Full Moon Labyrinth Walk This ritual is an adapted version of Frederick CUUPS New Years Purification Ritual. Attendees are invited to move through the Elements, releasing the shadows of 2022 as they go. Elemental Guides will be available at each Quarter to offer a way to move into the energy of a new year. End your Purification journey with a time of meditation to receive any messages for the new year. Our monthly Full Moon Labyrinth Walk will be a part of this self-guided journey. This ritual is an opportunity to move through Sacred Space. As such, there is no set start and finish time--it does not have a formal ritual structure. Your journey will be self-guided. We will hold the space open from 7 to 9 pm, and you should expect to spend somewhere between a half hour to an hour on your journey. Join us for community, spirituality and connection at our Sunday Service. Our services are now hybrid! Come in person or via zoom! On or near the first Sunday in January, many Unitarian Universalist congregations hold a ritual to bid farewell to the old year, and to release it. Our congregation has adopted WVCUUPS annual New Years Purification Ritual as part of their service. This is a hybrid service. There are a few recommended items for this ritual if you are attending online: - A small stone - A sprig of evergreen, herb from the kitchen or other plant - Incense of choice, singing bowl, feather/fan (paper made is fine) or a small bell. - 1 lit candle and a cauldron or other heatproof bowl - A small piece of paper and pen - A bowl of warm water and a hand towel Other Optional Materials: - An essential oil, annointing oil, or perfume of choice. About UUCWV: If you're searching for a religious home that is guided by a quest for truth and meaning, not by a set creed or dogma, we invite you to discover Unitarian Universalism. We are a caring, open-minded religious community that encourages you to seek your own spiritual path. Our worship services begin at 10:30 on Sunday morning and combine a mixture of music, speaking, and silence. The topics for our services vary greatly from week to week, so we encourage you to attend more than one service.
