Join Wyoming Valley CUUPS for our Lammas Ritual (and Potluck for our in-person gathering).

Lammas or Lughnassadh is the time of year when plants first start to drop their fruits or seeds. The bounty and fullness of Summer are in full swing, and we begin to harvest what we have sown. Around the world, cultures are celebrating the abundance around us. Explore the meaning and resonance of this First Harvest with members of the Wyoming Valley CUUPS community.

Our community has grown over these last couple years. As part of the Lammas ritual, we will be offering a welcoming rite for those that are interested. Our welcoming rite honors and formalizes something that is already present. It shifts the way we stand within community as well. For all of us, there are times when we look around and realize that we are changed. That even if people looking in from the outside can’t see it, we know it to be true. A rite of passage is a gate, a way through those moments of revealed truth, a thread to hold that takes us to the center of the labyrinth and back out again into the light. To support our individual search for meaning and connection by honoring the growth we have done, blessing each person we are now because of it, and placing care and intention on the path forward.

IN-PERSON RITUAL
Arrive between 4:00-4:15pm - Ritual will start at 4:20PM
After ritual, we will gather for our Potluck. Please either keep ingredient list or label all offerings with the included ingredients to allow those with dietary restrictions to make healthy choices for themselves. Our rituals like to include drumming, so feel free to bring a percussion instrument if you have one. Depending on the weather, we may do a fire outside and have a drum circle after our potluck. Fingers crossed.
