People of all ages and spiritual backgrounds are welcome. The event will include information booths, workshops, live music, vendors and other activities celebrating the growing season, a time of gratitude in many Pagan traditions.

Admission is a donation to Bread basket of NEPA, a local nonprofit that currently supports seven food pantries that distribute food to people in need.  You are welcome to bring an item of non-perishable commercially prepared food (no home canned goods, unfortunately).

Our current wish list of most needed items includes cereal and canned fruit and applesauce. Other items are canned tuna, canned vegetables, pasta and sauce, peanut butter and jelly, rice, and soup

Why Support the Pagan Pride Project?
Through education, activism, charity and community, the project promotes tolerance and understanding between people with different belief systems. If you are a Pagan, the project can help you find pride and confidence in your path. If you are not a Pagan, the project can help you understand your Pagan friends, coworkers, and family members.

Our area in Northeastern Pennsylvania desperately needs this Pagan Pride gathering. Let's do this together again and have a blast doing it!

Learn more about the International Pagan Pride Project

A clip from WBRE/WYOU on last years festival.

The first NEPA Pagan Pride Day Festival drew over 257 people during the course of the day and raised 635 pounds of food for Bread Basket of NEPA.

The International Pagan Pride Project is a non-profit organization dedicated to the elimination of prejudice and religious discrimination through education, activism, charity and community.

Pagan Pride celebrations are held annually around the world around the Harvest Season. The food drive gives participants a way to share with those who are less fortunate while making a positive statement about Paganism.

For decades Pagans and Witches have been wrongly accused of being evil or worshipping evil entities. In reality most Pagans enjoy a religion emphasizing respect for nature, humanity, and oneself. Modern Paganism, or Neo-Paganism, is a growing religious movement based on combinations of ancient polytheism, modern eco-spirituality, and reverence for the Divine beyond gender stereotypes.

NEPA Pagan Pride Day is held in Kirby Park at 160 Market Street, Wilkes-Barre, PA, 18704. NEPA Pagan Pride is hosted by Wyoming Valley CUUPS (Covenant of Unitarian Universalist Pagans) along with the help of Grove of the Ancient River Coven.

For more information about the event or about Pagan religions, email Shannon Saylor at [email protected].
