September update and gatherings

September arrives, and the Wheel turns again.
The days grow shorter, the air begins to cool, and we find ourselves standing at the threshold of Mabon—the second harvest, and the time of the Autumn Equinox. This is a moment of stillness and symmetry, when light and dark meet in equal measure. It invites us to reflect on what we’ve gathered so far, to honor what has come to fullness, and to prepare for the inward turn of the year.

Mabon is not just about harvest, but about harmony. It's a call to seek balance in our own lives—to pause, give thanks, and consider what must be set down in order to carry forward with intention. Whether you're tending your altar, walking the changing land, or simply making space for reflection, this is a sacred time to listen deeply.

This reflection feels especially true after such a beautiful Pagan Pride Day. Together, our community raised 566.2 pounds of food and $110 for Breadbasket of NEPA, issued over 230 wristbands (with easily triple that in total attendance), and filled the day with music, learning, ritual, and connection. None of it would have been possible without the hands, hearts, and creativity of our vendors, presenters, entertainers, volunteers, and every attendee who showed up to support our local Pagan community. Thank you for making this year’s festival such a strong, joyful, and generous gathering. Hail the doers, and hail the community.

This month, we continue weaving our threads of community through ritual, learning, and shared celebration. You’ll find the full list of September events below—including our Social, Mabon gathering, Dark Moon ritual, and more.

As the Wheel turns toward the darker half of the year, may you find moments of clarity, grounding, and grace.

In community,
The WVCUUPS Team
