January is a rest, planning and reset month for our Community. Our calendar this month focuses on starting the year cleanly, reviewing what is ahead, and coordinating upcoming events and leadership needs.

We begin the month with our New Year’s Purification Ritual and Labyrinth Walk, followed by an online New Year’s Purification and Full Moon Ritual. These gatherings mark the transition into the new year and give us a shared starting point as a community. Later in the month, we will hold our Community Monthly Meeting, which will focus primarily on planning March gatherings and checking in on the status of our winter and spring events.

This year, we received one application for the WVCUUPS Manager position. That candidate will be formally announced at the January Monthly Meeting, along with information about the next steps in the process. As a reminder, an active membership form must be on file in order to vote or participate in official decisions.

We are also beginning early planning for two major events:
  • The Court of the Fae Ball Masquerade Fundraiser on April 10
  • NEPA Pagan Pride Day on August 1
These events require long-range planning and volunteer coordination, and more details will be shared as teams and timelines are finalized.

We have a new Heathen Community growing with new gatherings and events coming up.

January is a good time to reconnect with how you want to participate this year. That might mean attending rituals or meetings, helping with event planning, joining social gatherings like game nights, or supporting the community in quieter ways behind the scenes.

Thank you for your continued involvement and support. We appreciate everyone who contributes their time, energy, and skills to keeping WVCUUPS running smoothly.
