May has arrived, and with it comes flowers, fire, and a full calendar of connection. From dancing around the Maypole to wandering sacred stone paths, we’ve got something for everyone this month—whether you’re looking for joy, reflection, or just good company

We’re starting things off strong with Beltane weekend!

Join us Saturday, May 3rd for our in-person Beltane Ritual, Maypole Dance, and Potluck. This year’s theme is wild authenticity—we’ll be shedding old masks, celebrating who we are, and making some noise together. The rainbow Beltane pole is back, and yes, we’ll have a central fire for release. If the weather turns rainy, we’ll move the celebration indoors—but we’ll still dance and burn what no longer serves.

Can’t be there in person? Join us online the night before, Friday, May 2nd, for our virtual Beltane Ritual—a space for intention-setting, seasonal magic, and connection across the miles.

⸻

Also this month:
We’re finally heading out on our Field Trip to Columcille Megalith Park on Saturday, May 10th! After rescheduling due to weather, we’re hoping for a beautiful day to explore this sacred stone sanctuary together. That night, we’ll also host a Full Moon Labyrinth Walk, outdoors weather permitting.

Our Monthly Meeting is happening on Thursday, May 8th—we’ll be planning July events and checking in on ongoing projects. This is a great space to jump in if you’re interested in helping with rituals, community building, or upcoming workshops.

And don’t forget, we’re doing a Labyrinth Cleanup on Friday, May 9th—all help appreciated!

As always, Recovery Dharma meetings happen every Tuesday evening, offering a supportive, nonjudgmental space to work through life’s challenges using mindfulness and shared experience. You don’t need to have any prior experience--just show up as you are.

Other things happening this month:
    •    Friday D&D Nights every week (yes, every single Friday!)
    •    Dark Moon Sumbel on May 23rd —a space to speak from the heart, reflect, and connect
    •    UU Memorial Service & Beltane Planning Session on May 25th
    •    An Introduction to Astrology via Zoom on May 29th

⸻

And as always, our Discord server is open 24/7 for conversation, creativity, support, and the occasional well-timed meme. Whether you’re asking for tarot insight or just sharing a photo of your altar, there’s a place for you there.

We’re grateful to be walking this path together. However you show up—once a month, every week, or quietly watching from the sidelines—you matter here. May this season spark joy, bring clarity, and remind you that you’re not alone.

With love and community,
The WVCUUPS Team
